Founded in 2005 as a milestone in the revitalization of the Brazilian shipbuilding industry, Estaleiro Atlântico Sul (EAS) is located in the Suape Industrial Complex (PE). It is strategically positioned at the center of international shipping lanes, between the Pre-Salt and the Gulf of Mexico oil fields. Guided by ethics, safety, quality, and productivity, EAS has built a solid history in shipbuilding, having delivered 15 oil tankers (10 Suezmax and 05 Aframax), in addition to integrating modules for the P-62 platform and constructing the lower hull for the P-55 platform. In 2020, the shipyard entered a new business cycle focused on the ship repair market. Today, with over five years of proven experience in this segment, EAS operates with stability and innovation, performing complex repairs and dry-docking for merchant vessels and offshore ships—including Jack-Up rigs and UMS (Accommodation Units). Leveraging its robust installed steel processing capacity, EAS also operates in business units dedicated to the fabrication of offshore metallic structures and the sustainable recycling and decommissioning of ships and platforms.
